Depositing Waste in Ditches

Ordiance 102, Chapter 13

It shall be unlawful for any person to throw or deposit any weeds, yard water, sod, brush, cans, glass, gravel, stones, boulders, machinery, garbage or other waste of rubbish in or on the right of way (ditches) of any highway/road in the Town of Richmond.

Yard Waste

The landfill in Thornton will be open for yard waste beginning the third (3rd) Saturday in April until the third (3rd) Saturday in May from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm for Spring clean up. (Note this is only on Saturdays during this time period.)

Fall clean up will be the first (1st) Saturday in October until the second (2nd) Saturday in November from 11:00 a.m to 3:00 pm. (Note this is only on Saturdays during this time period.)

Starting in June, the landfill will be open the second (2nd) Saturday of the month during the summer from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Yard waste can be taken to the Shawano Landfill at 1005 Rusch Rd. Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday until November from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
