Garbage Collection

Garbage and recycling will be picked up every Monday except on holidays when it will be picked up on Tuesday. Please have garbage at the end of the driveway by 5:30 a.m.

Garbage and recycling are to be set out no earlier than 5:00 pm on Sunday and empty containers returned to point of storage within twelve (12) hours after collection.

Town of Richmond Residents

Pickup will continue every Monday and residents will now be provided with (1) 95 gallon recycle tote. 

Totes need to be curbside no later than 5:30 am on scheduled pickup day to guarantee pickup.

·  Please place tote as indicated in the picture, with the bar and lid opening street side.  The collection system will require that the provided cart is mechanically picked up and then tipped into the truck.  Residents are required to use provided carts for their household trash and recycle.

·  Each household is allowed (1) tote of trash and recycle every week.

·  Place your cart to maintain a (3) foot separation from obstructions, including other carts, mailboxes, parked cars, trees and snow banks

·  These totes are the property of Harter’s, for tote repair or rental of additional totes; please call (715) 253-2619 or (888)804-8556.  In the event you relocate, these carts are to stay with the property.

Penalty $50 for first violation, up to $2,000 for subsequent violations.

The fee for garbage pickup is $210  for the year. Quarterly payments of $52.50 can be made in January, April, July and October. Payments not received by November 1st will be put on your tax bill. This is the only notice you will receive - so mark your calendars.

Recycling Electronics

RESIDENTS OF TOWN RICHMOND
Electronic Spring Clean Up Recycling

The Town of Richmond has scheduled an Electronic Spring Clean Up Recycling date for Town of Richmond Residents for Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the old town dump at N5761 Cypress Rd.

Electronic Components include such items as computers, computer accessories, TVs, VCRs, small copier machines, fax machines, microwave etc.. We will NOT ACCEPT any items with Freon, tires, Hazardous Waste or Building Materials.

This service is available only to Town of Richmond residents and/or property owners of the Town. All Richmond residents are required to recycle… please do so! Thank you!

Town of Richmond Yard Waste

Spring Clean Up for Yard Waste (no electronics) for Town of Richmond Residents starting Third Saturday of April, and each Saturday until Third Saturday of May, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. may be dropped off at Richmond Brush Site, at old town dump at N5761 Cypress Road.

Starting in June through September Yard Waste may be dropped off at this site from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on second Saturday of each month.

Fall Clean for Yard Waste for Town of Richmond Residents starting on First Saturday of October and each Saturday until Second Saturday in November, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
